A survey of investments and corporate finance. The basic financial instruments, how they are used, traded, and priced; the financial decision-making processes of the firm: project selection, dividend, and debt policy. Economics 271 is not open to students who have taken Economics 471, 372, and/or 373. Prerequisites: Economics 101; and Statistical Science 111, or 130, or 230, or 250, and Mathematics 202 or higher.
