The Politics of Market Competition in a Global Economy

Course examines history and contemporary political, economic, and legal aspects of antitrust law and its enforcement. Explores evolution of antitrust thought and practice in the United States and Europe over past century, the recent rapid spread of competition laws, as well as domestic and international conflicts and cooperation over competition policy. Students will write original research papers on a related topic of their own choosing. Instructor consent required.
