Spring 2012 Top 5%

Our very own, Edwyn Tiriyakian received a heartfelt appreciation from the Dean of Academic Affairs, Lee D. Baker for his contribution to teaching Excellence at Duke.  Professor Tiriyakian's teaching, dedication to students, and creative approach towards innovation or traditional methods of instruction have been recognized through student evaluations.

Teaching excellence is at the core of Duke’s mission, and each semester, the Office of Assessment administers course evaluations to measure and analyze this component of the Duke experience.  During the spring semester 2012 in the categories of Quality of Course or Intellectual Stimulation, your course evaluations were among the top 5% of all undergraduate instructors at Duke.

Congratulations Professor Tiriyakian!!
