How do I Enroll in a Capstone?

If you are a senior looking to take the Markets & Management Capstone course in the fall, you have come to the right place! The Capstone (MMS 450) is designed to be one of the final courses you take in the Markets and Management Studies program and should tie together the themes and ideas learned from various areas of your study.  It is a required core for all M&M students and is only open to seniors and juniors, with preference given to seniors. Because of this, you can only enroll in the course with a permission number. Here are the important things you need to know about obtaining a permission number for your capstone:

How:  Permission numbers for MMS 450 sections will only be given out after a student comes in for senior advising. This is a short time for you and an M&M staff member to look at the courses you have taken and make sure you are aware of what requirements are still needed. If you have questions about your courses, this is the time to come prepared to ask them. Make sure that you have declared MMS on your record prior to coming for advising. Instructors do not give our permission numbers.

When: Rising seniors will receive an email notification shortly that notifies you of the times and dates that capstone advising will be offered. You will also be informed about the sections being offered.

Next Steps:  Be on the lookout for your email about capstone advising times. When you do get the email, make sure you read all the details so you come prepared to your advising session. If you do not come to a regularly scheduled advising time, we may not be able to accommodate you in a capstone for the fall semester.

Remember: Due to the number of students in our program, these are the only days we will be able to do advising for Seniors. If you are a Senior, we will not do advising for you or give out permission numbers in the weeks prior to our capstone advising days.

Many of our students have said that the capstone was one of their favorite experiences in the program and we can't wait for you to join them!
